The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: I am a retired art teacher after teaching 33 fulfilling years. I was active in the profession and held the positions of local president, region president, PSEA director and NEA director. I was also on various committees in the profession and held the position of staff development coordinator in the Armstrong School District. I currently serve as president of the ASD Foundation, a foundation that provides expanded educational opportunities for youth in the district. I am a local leader in my church and serve on session. I own and maintain an 83-acre tract of land on which I landscape and garden. I am married to Candace with two grown daughters, Sarah and Kristin. Kristin is also an alumnus of Penn State. As president of Center Halls Residence Association in the late 60s and early 70s, I remember it as a time of social conflict and change on campus, and a time that advanced the movement of student government and student rights. |
